Relutantly doing the RIGHT THING
I did not respond to Ron's last 2 emails. I sort of expected an email from him this morning, escalating his concern & weirdness. There was none, which is probably better.
Had he sent me an email, it would have undoubtedly contained additional fodder for sharing, and would have tempted me to continue to glean material to entertain with. Part of me says that's not very nice; the other part of me says, well, he put it out there and maybe he was a gift from the universe to crack me up. Either way, once again it's time to put on my Big Girl Panties and do the Right Thing. So, this is how it went, sweet & simple:

It's Thursday morning and I have a gazillion things to accomplish today (thank you god!), but first I wanted to write you.
I didn't send an email yesterday because, as you must be aware, eharmony send me an email saying they have removed from their service. The bottom line is they recommend no further contact. I've been pondering that information, and have decided to take their advice. I wish you all the best, and hope you find what you are looking for.
I admit it. My finger did hover over the "Send" button a few seconds too long. Now I know how comedians felt when Reagan left office. Mourning the loss of an all-too-abundant cornucopia of material; yet knowing that getting it so easily makes one soft, and the ease actually gets tiresome with no challenge.... so at the same time, being grateful for the growth that comes from having to "work it" and stretch and earn and achieve.
What does the future hold? Well, I'm going to be away from online dating for a while (did you guess that already?). I can feel my pulse pick up when I wonder whether or not Ron will respond to my adieu. Will he try to justify or explain? It certainly wouldn't change the outcome between he & I; it would just be another weird blog post.
But for quite a while, every time I meet someone socially or professionally named Ron, I'm going to wonder........
unless it was his name he was "misrepresenting" and he could be anybody..... OMFG!
